urban family photo shoot in Charlotte’s funky NoDa district

I was psyched when this mama told me that her idea was to work in an urban setting.  I’ve been doing loads of rural shoots lately and was excited about the many textures, pops of color, and energetic feeling that comes from working in the city.  NoDa seemed a great choice for this family.  To me, it’s one of the most versatile spots for photography in Charlotte… you have lots of rustic textures to use as backdrops, but also little hidden pops of greenery here and there.

So we began in Noda and ended up our shoot at Amelie’s, which if you live in Charlotte, you should know about.  And if you don’t, you betta ax somebody 🙂  French, chic, eclectic, and oh……so….. yummy!!!!
