As soon as I arrived at the R’s home, I felt such positive, warm and welcoming energy and I knew it was going to be a wonderful session. Baby A has such a presence to her, so much bigger than her tiny five pounds. Born several weeks early, she is the only newborn that I’ve ever met that actually smiles. I do not mean a pass gas smile, which are also adorable smiles. But when her cheek is stroked or kissed, she actually smiles a genuine smile. It’s a ‘thank you’ smile, or “I love you Mommy” smile. It is easy to see where she inherited her pleasant spirit from. Her mother could not be sweeter or more magnetic, and her father is so kind and gentle.
I got to meet baby A’s maternal grandmother as well, who told me stories about her own children and what they were like growing up. It was fun to hear everyone imagine what baby A would be like and what they hoped for her. I shared some stories of my own daughter and the trials and triumphs of parenting a four year old.
Thank you so very much for the opportunity to create these portraits of your family.
